1104 ANTIFOAM and DEFOAMER
DESCRIPTION
Tramfloc® 1104 is a silicone-organic
antifoam compound that is readily dispersible in
water. It is for use in controlling foam in industrial
aqueous systems over wide pH and temperature ranges.
Tramfloc® 1104 provides a very convenient
form of silicone antifoam compound that can be formulated
into aqueous-based antifoams. Antifoams formulated
with Tramfloc® 1104 can rinse free
from substrates by flushing with water at room temperatures.
Tramfloc® 1104 is manufactured in
accordance with the Regulations of the Food and
Drug Administration as described in 21 CFR, Section
176.210. The ingredients of Tramfloc®
1104 are in compliance with the EPA under 40 CFR
180.1001(c), "exempted from the requirements of
a tolerance for application on growing crops or
to raw agricultural commodities after harvest."
TYPICAL PROPERTIES
Appearance: Milky, White Liquid
Viscosity @ 25°C: 6,000 cps
Actives: 100%
Flash Point {cc}: Above 250°F
USES OF TRAMFLOC® 1104 ANTIFOAM
Tramfloc® 1104 has been especially
prepared for the formulators of aqueous-based antifoams.
It is easily extended with cool water to active
levels as low as 5% or as high as 40%. The general
procedure is to mix Tramfloc® 1104
into thickened water at room temperature. Without
thickener, water emulsions are not stable. Thickened
emulsions of Tramfloc® 1104 can
be stable for prolonged periods, depending on the
type and concentration of the thickener. Synthetic
thickeners, such as Carbopol 990 (B. F. Goodrich)
or Acrysol ASE-60 (Rohm & Haas), can be used. Preservatives
may be used in the finished emulsions to retard
microorganism growth.
STORAGE
Tramfloc® 1104 has a shelf life
of up to 12 months in the original, unopened container.
It is possible that may separate slightly during
prolonged storage, especially under warm conditions.
If separation does occur, mechanical mixing will
restore it to original condition and efficiency.
It will become much thicker as the temperature is
decreased. If stored at low temperature, warm to
above 15°C (60°F) prior to use.
The above data is based upon information Tramfloc®,
Inc. believes reliable and is supplied for informational

should be adjusted for each foaming system to determine
the optimum concentration to use. It is suggested
that the concentrations can be decreased to establish
the most economical concentration. Dilutions should
be made by charging the water with Tramfloc
® 1112. Mechanical mixing is required
to ensure even distribution. Water dilutions below
10% may have limited shelf stability. Consult Tramfloc
® , Inc. for dilution procedures.
FDA STATUS
Tramfloc ® 1112 is manufactured
in compliance with the Regulations of the Food and
Drug Administration as cited in 21 CFR, Section
176.210 {paper and paperboard defoamers}.

Tramfloc® 1113 ANTIFOAM and DEFOAMER
DESCRIPTION
Tramfloc ® 1113 ANTIFOAM and DEFOAMER
is a highly active, silicone defoamer emulsion dispersible
in warm or cold water. It is a stable emulsion in
acid, alkaline, or neutral systems. It can be added
directly to the foam system.
TYPICAL PROPERTIES
Defoamer Actives: 33%
Color: Off White
Physical Appearance: Pourable, Creamy Liquid
Stability: Greater Than Six Months
Emulsifier: Non-Ionic
Tramfloc ® 1113 ANTIFOAM and DEFOAMER
is compatible in most wet processing applications,
but it is advisable to pre-check each application.
The small amount required should not introduce any
compatibility problems, even in conditions of strong
electrolytes, etc. Tramfloc ® 1113
ANTIFOAM and DEFOAMER is most effective when used
to prevent foam formulation; therefore, it is best
to add it to the system before foaming starts. Tramfloc
® 1113 ANTIFOAM and DEFOAMER concentration
should be adjusted for each foaming system to determine
the optimum concentration to use. It is suggested
that the concentrations can be decreased to establish
the most economical concentration. Dilutions should
be made by first charging the water and then adding
Tramfloc ® 1113. Mechanical mixing
is required to ensure even distribution. Water dilutions
below 10% may have limited shelf stability. Ask
us for dilution procedures.

Tramfloc® 1114 ANTIFOAM and DEFOAMER
DESCRIPTION
Tramfloc ® 1114 Antifoam is an
excellent ANTIFOAM and DEFOAMER emulsion based upon
a unique organic/polysiloxane compound. It is used
for controlling foam in aqueous systems. Tramfloc
® 1114 Antifoam has been designed for
improved shelf life at lower concentrations. It
is compatible in most systems where foaming is a
problem. Tramfloc ® 1114 Antifoam
may be used in hot foaming systems {up to 180°F}
and remain stable. After its use in high temperature
environments, it can be rinsed freely away without
oil scum deposits. Its unique dispersing properties
allow it to be used with most conventional aqueous
systems without "fish-eye" effects. Tramfloc
® 1114 Antifoam is stable in mild acid
or alkaline systems.
TYPICAL PROPERTIES
Appearance: Milky, White Liquid
Specific Gravity @ 20°C: 1.00
Viscosity {20°C}: 1,000-2,000 cps
pH 6-8
FDA STATUS
Tramfloc ® 1114 Antifoam is manufactured
in compliance with the Regulations of the Food and
Drug Administration as cited in 21 CFR, Sections
